We are getting inventive with our on-the-go snacks here at Commando Fit! Another busy August day of personal training means that regular snacks are needed to keep up the energy levels. These delicious, juicy figs are freshly picked and taste so amazing with almond butter, served on spelt and seed crackers - how very Mediterranean! Almond butter contains healthy fats; skin-glowing Vitamin E; Magnesium for energy production, and bone and cell formation; and Iron, which is essential for a healthy immune system. Figs are a great source of fibre, which is great for digestive health. They are also a good source of calcium, for healthy bones, as well as Magnesium, and Potassium, an electrolyte which is crucial for heart function and helping to lower blood pressure. Figs are now ripe and ready for picking, get picking! :) X
